Funding

To develop and sustain Canadian publishers’ export sales, Livres Canada Books allocates financial assistance through the Foreign Rights Marketing Assistance Program (FRMAP) component of the Canada Book Fund. This funding is provided directly to Canadian-owned and -controlled book publishers on behalf of the Department of Canadian Heritage.

In addition, Livres Canada Books administers a two-part Mentoring Program. The Mentoring – Coaching program helps emerging exporters become familiar with export sales and properly evaluate the efforts needed to penetrate target markets. The program alternates yearly between the United-States and France. The Mentoring – Funding Support program allows publishers who have participated in Livres Canada Books’ Mentoring – Coaching Program to leverage their new expertise by implementing marketing strategies targeted at select export markets.
